    Versioning and Support

API versioning, deprecation notice, service levels, rate limits and error codes.

    Versioning

The API is versioned in the URL path (/v1/). Breaking changes ship only in a new version, and we give at least 12 months notice before retiring a version. Non-breaking additions may ship within the current version and are listed in the changelog.

    Rate limits and errors

See Rate limits and Error codes.

    Service levels

    • Managed cloud: 99.95% monthly uptime target.
    • Enterprise support: Severity 1 response within 1 hour, 24/7. Other tiers: next business day.
    • In-perimeter deployments run inside the customer's environment, so availability follows the customer's own infrastructure.

    If MagenTrust is unreachable

Customers choose how each protected action behaves if a decision can't be returned in time. Fail-closed blocks the action until MagenTrust responds, which suits high-consequence actions. Fail-open lets the action proceed and logs it for review, which suits lower-risk workflows. The setting is part of policy, so different actions can use different modes.
